Maximilian Dåderman wants to build AI that people can actually trust
When military service came to an end, the soldiers voted for the person they trusted the most. The choice fell on Maximilian Dåderman.
“It is probably still the finest recognition I have received. If someone asks how others would describe me, that is the closest answer I can give.”
Maximilian, 25, grew up in Farsta in southern Stockholm and studies information technology at KTH. His interest in technology came early, he got his first computer at the age of two and has been challenging technology ever since to understand how it works.
But it was an event during his military service that changed him deeply. A back injury followed him for two years before he received the right diagnosis. For a long time he tried to handle the pain without telling anyone around him.
“It made me more thoughtful. I probably see more nuance today than I used to.”
Today Maximilian is one of eight entrepreneurs selected for Talent Venture Labs.
The business idea is built on a question few others ask: in an era where AI becomes ever more prominent, how are people supposed to handle it?
Using AI, he is building the platform Sonndera, which helps companies measure the actual AI capability of candidates and employees through realistic, simulated work tasks. The platform identifies skill gaps, AI usage and the need for targeted training across the organisation, so companies can make better decisions about recruitment, skills development and their investments in AI.
“Everyone is building AI right now. I think we should talk more about how people can actually use the technology in a way that works in everyday life.”
He describes himself as a curious builder who likes to experiment and push the limits of new technology to understand how systems can get better. Technology should create trust, not just impress.
